A RECTANGULAR 'CHAMPLEVÉ' ENAMELLED PLAQUE DEPICTING THE FABLE 'THE WOLF AND THE LAMB', JANE SOUBOUROU (1879–1968), 1941 Jane Soubourou, active in Limoges and trained at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs, exhibited regularly at the Salon between 1909 and 1914. She was particularly renowned for her mastery of champlevé enamel, a technique rooted in the great Limoges tradition.
